Comprehensive Plan Update

A Comprehensive Plan is a guide for the future of the county. While the focus of a Comprehensive Plan is to guide planning and zoning decisions, the scope of the Plan is much broader, encompassing many issues that impact county residents including public services, natural resources, recreation, and transportation, among others. In accordance with Idaho Code, a plan is prepared with the involvement of County residents, community groups and other public agencies, and must reflect their issues and concerns.

Caribou County is holding two public meetings for the adoption of the 2023 Comprehensive Plan. The first public hearing with the Planning & Zoning Commission was held on April 6, 2023 at 6:00 pm. The Planning & Zoning Commission recommended it for approval. The second public hearing will be with the Caribou County Commissioners on April 24, 2023 at 10:00 am. The Caribou County Commissioners public hearing will be located at the County Court House, 159 South Main Street, Soda Springs, Idaho 83276.

Public comments are always. You are able to submit comments through email at naskew@co.caribou.id.us, letter at 159 South Main Street, Soda Springs, Idaho 83276, or person at the Caribou County Court House.
